To provide meaningful business information analytics and insights to Corporate Social Justice team, that is aligned with the achievement of Woolworths’ social justice goals and scorecards
Job description

- Keep abreast of BBBEE and related legislation changes and investigate impact on reporting/processes
- Monitor social justice or BBBEE legislative changes and updates
- Assist with compilation of responses to draft legislations relating to BBBEE or social justice and other relevant legislative instruments and Woolworths commitments
- Assist in the development of an end-to-end process for supplier BBBEE credential vetting and capturing of BBBEE credentials, incl. managing fronting
- Design and maintain the BBBEE reporting requirements, including processes
- Develop required BBBEE reports considering all sector nuances
- Support the BBBEE Verification process
- Prepare scenario planning, analysis and interpretation of the BBBEE scorecard and other IJI scorecards
- Design and maintain the IJI masterplan reporting requirements, including processes
- Development of strategic insights and recommendations through analytics which delivers clear value in achieving the desired outcomes of the inclusive justice initiative (IJI) targets
- Develop and implement social impact measurement process and reporting
- Support the creation of policies and frameworks that support effective social impact measurement and reporting in-line with the IJI strategy
- Develop process to gather relevant social impact data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, and secondary data for effective and accurate reporting
- Oversee and manage the extraction of data sets for IJI’s social impact analysis by working closely with the functional partners to ensure data is extracted timeously, valid, accurate, complete
- Collaborate with peers and leadership in the wider business to leverage insights and learnings from people diversity strategies, supplier base diversity strategy and community development
- Engage and collaborate with functional partners to identify opportunities for social justice using data driven insights and analytics
- Engage with business and data specialists to focus on continuous improvement of information in terms of relevance, quality, speed of delivery and value
- Timeous and accurate reporting which includes performance analysis, trend analysis, interpretation and optimisation
- Identify and develop dynamic reporting solutions that are accurate and effectively deliver to the information and needs of the inclusive justice Strategy
- Efficiently respond to requests for information within the required timeframe and specification, with a focus on translating information into effective, sustainable solutions for social justice
Minimum requirements
- Relevant Degree or Diploma
- A sound understanding of the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice (all sectors) and relevant legislations
- Sound understanding of social justice
- Sound understanding of social impact reporting
- 8 or more years proven experience in BBBEE auditing and reporting
- Experience with BI analytical tools (i.e. Qlik, SharePoint, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
- Experience in reporting, data visualisation, data mining, data analysis
- Ability to combine, analyse data from various sources and produce visualisations that answers business questions
- Ability to draw insights from data analytics, summarize findings and make recommendations
- Ability to work with and manipulate large volumes of data
- Strong understanding of retail business processes and of Woolworths data
- Advanced Excel (with experience using graphs etc.)
