The ideal candidate will have a passion for content creation, content planning and community building. You will be responsible for developing engaging, on-brand content and managing interactions to grow our audiences organically
Job description

Content Planning

·       Develop, implement and manage a strategic social media plan to increase brand awareness, drive engagement and build community for our brand.

·       Support the creation of, and manage, diverse content to maintain a consistent and compelling brand presence on Instagram.

·       Develop creative concepts for short-form videos and interactive posts, leveraging platform features.

·       Ensure content is visually aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and tone of voice.

·       Write compelling on-brand captions that resonate with our audience, builds community and drives growth.

·       Ensure accuracy of captions, hashtags, tags and links.

Community Engagement & Management

·       Schedule and post all content according to the content plan and as needed

·       Foster a positive and interactive online community by encouraging conversations, reposting user-generated content, and building relationships with followers.

·       Tap into relevant social media trends, ensuring the brand stays connected to current conversations.

Analytics & Performance Reporting

·       Track key metrics like impressions, interactions, follower growth, video views, and reach and report on them monthly.

·       Use social media insights to monitor performance and adjust content based on data-driven insights.

·       Prepare regular reports for the business, summarising social media performance and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

Trendspotting & Innovation

·       Stay up to date on emerging trends, viral challenges, and popular sounds across social platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, incorporating them into content when relevant.

·       Experiment with new content types and formats, to maintain excitement and variety in our social media presence.

Collaborations & Partnerships

·       Identify opportunities to collaborate with influencers, creators, or other brands to expand reach and engage with new audiences organically.

·       Manage partnerships with UGC creators to ensure their content is delivered on-time and within brand guidelines.

Minimum requirements

Functional Competencies

·       Passionate about social, with a deep understanding of Instagram and Tik Tok culture and trends.

·       Creative, innovative, and up-to-date with the latest social media tools and trends.

·       Self-driven, collaborative, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced digital environment.

·       Collaborative, positive and energetic

·       A passion for social content and strong visual storytelling skills

·       Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

·       Strong content planning ability

·       Strong communication and impeccable writing skills

·       Excellent time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·       Keen eye for new social media trends

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience
    • 3 years of social media management experience, ideally in beauty and/or fashion.
    • Proven track record of growing audiences and driving engagement on Instagram through organic content.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in content creation and editing tools such as Instagram Creator Studio, TikTok’s native tools, Canva and Adobe Suite.
    • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms, including best practices for Reels, Stories, and TikTok videos.
    • Familiarity with social media management tools (Bran watch) for content scheduling and planning will be beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and community-building strategies.
  • Basic knowledge of video production techniques and editing for short-form content.
  • Familiarity with social listening and engagement tracking tools.
