Analyse basic user requirements, design, implement and support less complex technical systems.
Job description

  • Analysis, technical design and development aligned to team processes & requirements

o   Develop simple technical specifications from systems specifications.

o   Design and code simple less complex programmes from technical specifications.

o   Facilitate and run with requirements gathering/understanding sessions with stakeholder as input to design and documentation

o   Document in design and processes using industry standard documentation requirements, SRS’S, AIS’S ect.

  • Maintain and support existing systems

o   Interpret basic user requirements and translate into systems design.

o   Investigate and solve simple systems issues.

o   Ensure systems documentation is kept up to date.

  • Ensures effective operations

o   Assist with implementing approved changes as per change control and security process

  • Support current solutions

o   Resolve less complex user queries using SQL database and web-based query tools

o   Manage tickets for incidents and ensure closure within SLA.

o   Collaborating with business process team and provide fuctional input to resolve.

Minimum requirements

  • 3-year IT or NQF-aligned qualification
  • 1-2 years development experience
  • Specific development skills
  • Project management methodology
  • Relevant business process context knowledge

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

  • 2 -3 years programming/analyst programming experience
  • Ability to use technological equipment, programmes and applications to enhance productivity
  • Displays an innate willingness to learn and keep abreast of current methodologies and technologies
  • Effectively uses existing procedures, processes, and tools to identify and solve routine problems
  • Identifies the information needed to solve a problem
  • Manages time effectively to accomplish what needs to get done
  • Knows the status of own work at all times
  • Prepares basic presentations that are logically structured.
  • Works well with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Balances personal needs with those of one’s team
  • Remains focused on task despite changes
