To develop, operationalise & successfully integrate the category selling solutions, initiatives and merchandising strategies for an enhanced customer shopping experience in order to optimise sales and profit growth. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analysing market trends, and ensuring that our products are presented in a way that maximizes their appeal and availability to customers.
Job description

  • Develop and Operationalise category selling solutions, for effective in-store and channel execution
  • Effectively support the rollout and delivery of the category initiatives/projects from inception to completion
  • Develop and operationalise tactical selling solutions to optimise seasonal trade performance through the effective translation & enablement of the ILF 
  • Lead, develop and deliver world class category merchandising by implementing category space principles on shelf and on promotional displays

Minimum requirements

  • 3-year bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience in merchandising management, effective in-store, channel and planogram execution.
  • Minimum 3 years Liquor industry knowledge and experience advantageous.
  • Skilled in planning and executing merchandising projects within deadlines.
  • Customer centric, understanding of customer behaviour and preferences.
  • Solid grasp of merchandising management principles, and reporting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Retail Space and Display Management
  • Able to provide input into Range and Catalogue Management
  • Strong resilience and an ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong solution orientation.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, and passionate about the Liquor category.
  • Able to travel nationally.
