Introduction
To provide technical and functional support of the ReconAssist, Hyperion, SFS and RPA applications. Interpret and transform business requirements into well-defined system solutions and technical specifications for Finance. This is a junior-level, 12 month contract position based at the Head Office in Cape Town City Centre.
Job description

• Analyse current systems solutions and business requirements
o Interpret and provide input to translate simple business requirements into business requirement definitions and specifications
o Analyse and evaluate required system enhancements 
• Design minor enhancements to systems to accommodate business needs
o Participate in the process design or re-design and assist in translating business / user requirements / processes into less complex system design
o Design simple system enhancements
o Change systems specifications based on testing problems / changing requirements
o Design simple interface enhancements with other systems
o Deliver to and management of work log tasks
• Testing of proposed solutions
o Assist in developing system test plans for system and integration testing
o Assist in performing systems testing and integration testing, and feedback results
• Participate in the implementation of new solutions to ensure successful integration into current environment
o Assist with the creation and hand-over of the system administration procedures
o Participate in the post-implementation reviews for completed projects
• Support current solutions
o Administration, maintenance, and support of current deployment stack
o Ensure the stability of the existing systems environment
o Provide first line support to request and incident resolution
o Provide functional input
• Collaborate with and support ITS and the Business
o Integrate with relevant business and IT teams
o Participate in system input to design of user training material 
o Provide less complex operational support to the business area
• Create and maintain documentation
o Develop and maintain all relevant SDLC documentation
o Document, publish and maintain system design enhancements and all interfaces with other systems

Minimum requirements

• 3 years IT degree/ diploma
• 1-2 years relevant experience
• Perform Standby on a rotational basis
• 1 to 2 years Application support experience
• Good working knowledge of Woolworths infrastructure
• Problem solving skills and systems thinking
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Oracle Smart View advantageous
• Experience in system analysis and design, including documentation.
• Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle and related processes
• Strong Analytical skills and systems thinking
• General Financial systems knowledge advantageous
• Level 1 or 2 support experience
