Introduction
To procure ranges that are balanced and most wanted by the current and potential Woolworths customer. To deliver profitable and sustainable growth through a clear strategy for the department/s that is under-pinned by the group strategy.
Job description
Analyse sales trends / history and formulate departmental strategy, as well as provide input into Group strategy
• Research local and international markets and interpret trends for the Woolworths customer
• To deliver brand turnover within the agreed departmental KPI’s
• Ensure a balanced range structure, price tiering and key price points
• Identify trading opportunities within the season to maximise profit and grow market share
• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships to deliver balanced branded ranges through a customer-centred process
• Develop and leverage internal stakeholder relationships to ensure growth and development of business
Minimum requirements
2-3 years Relevant Beauty buying/ Beauty brand management experience preferable
• Relevant retail qualification
• Creativity, taste and flair: ensure that ranges are balanced and offer real choice to our customers
• Passion for Product / Merchandise
• Demonstrates a commitment to high performance - delivery-focused and goal-driven, flexible and thrives on and responds to performance feedback
• Familiarity with Marketing for business growth
• Negotiation and influencing skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Merchant and retail ability - demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the market place, competitors and customer needs
